Franz Josef Glacier
The trip in New Zealand is coming to an end (well with the pictures that is) one more tomorrow and it will be something new and Texan after that.
Change of mind, seeing as it is just one picture of the glacier I am posting, here is a more dramatic view of the dynamic force at play, the glacier can travel up to 5 metres a day and in the process cracks and ruptures this thick snow and ice like plasticene. Can you see the annual layers in the ice, like a tree perhaps?
